Recipe: Campfire Banana Boats
If you find yourself near a campfire this summer, you must make this dessert. It’s ridiculously simple, fun for everyone, and ooey-gooey delicious. Kids especially will like creating their own boats. It’s the perfect companion to spooky stories under the stars.
Campfire Banana Boats
bananas
mini marshmallows
chocolate chips
peanut butter morsels
tin foil
Directions
Slice down the middle of each banana about 3/4 of the depth. Stuff the slit full of marshmallows, chocolate chips and peanut butter morsels. Wrap loosely in tinfoil and place in a toasty campfire for 5-10 minutes, or until banana peel has turned black and marshmallows are melted. Serve warm with a fork.
HINT: No campfire? These also work great on a grill or in a 300 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes.
