2nd Annual "Give Thanks With the Gift of Cookies" Giveaway
It’s time to bring back our most successful contest ever, our “Give Thanks With the Gift of Cookies” giveaway. Last year we were inundated with amazing, heartwarming, tear-jerking stories of people going above and beyond, sometimes in a significant moment of need and sometimes for years and years of selfless service. When we introduced the giveaway last year, we thought it would be a fun little contest. However, as the first few entries came in, we quickly realized that we had started something special, and as more and more entries poured in, we couldn’t help but feel thankful ourselves to be part of it all.
The best part of our business at Mrs. Fields Gifts is being included in the special moments in people’s lives. Every day we have the opportunity to help people express care, joy, congratulations, concern, love, and gratitude. We consider it an absolute honor.
As Thanksgiving approaches, we have much to be thankful for and we know that you do too. We also know that the perfect way to express your gratitude is with the gift of cookies. We’re giving away three fabulous prizes to deserving people nominated by you! We’ll deliver them, along with your thanks, just in time for Thanksgiving! Why? Because the only thing better than winning a Mrs. Fields Secrets giveaway is winning one for somebody else!
How does it work?
Leave a comment answering this question: Who would you like to thank and why?
The contest will run from now until Monday, November 22nd, after which three winners will be randomly selected to receive one of three incredible prizes.
Third prize is our Fall Flurry Box, and isn’t it a beauty? It’s the perfect way to show your gratitude.
Second prize is our Fall Delectable Bites Box. It is chock full of made-from-scratch, gourmet favorites.
Finally, our first prize is our Autumn Harvest Wreath. It will arrive with all your best wishes and all our best flavors, just in time for Thanksgiving.
All right, everybody, let the thanking begin! (And if I were you, I’d check back often to read through the entries for an instant pick-me-up. However, you’ll probably want to bring a tissue with you!)
(One entry per person, please. Comments will be accepted until midnight, Monday, November 22nd. Winners will be selected randomly and notified via email. Because of the timely nature of this giveaway, winners have 24 hours to respond to the email with shipping information, otherwise a new winner will be selected.)
I would like to thank my mom. She is such a big support in my life and she means the world to me!
Who would you like to thank and why?
Id like to thank my mother June
She has been there through everything with me and shes a wonderful mother
I would like to thank my family for always trusting and believing in me. The love and gratitude that comes from them means so much to me.
My DH. I’ve had 2 back surgeries in the last few years, and both times, he took care of me both before surgery, and after surgery. He helped me bathe, he cooked, he cleaned, he did laundry, AND he went to work every day. I still have troubles, and need help, and he doesn’t hesitate for one second to help me. No complaints when I interrupt his television show, no complaining when I need him to carry stuff. He even goes out in the snow and shovels for hours so that there is nothing on the walk that I might slip on. Right now, I’m putting off surgery 3, but I know he’ll have no problem stepping up and helping me when that time comes.
I would like to thank my mom for helping out with my girls. I have one with a whole in her heart and one who had surgery at just 5 weeks old.She is my only babysitter I have!
I would like to Thank my 6th grade teacher Ladonna Madill Ogden ( Magna Elementry). 20 years ago I was an akward 6th grader who happened to be 5plus feet tall I had no self esteem and was very unhappy about being taller then the other kids. Mrs. Madill Ogdenhelped me see the good when all I saw was bad. She made me feel good about myself and helped me to be more accepting of the things we have in life. She has forever been in my thoughts and I am so thankful for her.
I would like to thank the man in my life for always being there for everyone. He was in the Army infantry and served in Korea. He cam back to the US to find out his wife at the time had cheated on him with his best friend and she no longer wanted him or their twin infant sons.He took on the responsibility of raising these children on his own until I became part of his life when they were around 12 years old.He has always worked hard and endless hours to make sure they were provided for.He goes out of his way to help any and everyone he can 24/7 no questions asked. He is well loved in this community by all as well as by anyone he has met in the past elsewhere. He is truly deserving of a big THANK YOU!
I would like to thank my mom. When we lost everything as the economy went in the tanker, she bought a house for us to rent (to prevent it foreclosing and having to uproot our 4 kids again as so many rentals were doing), She helps out by buying the kids clothes and when she gets kohls cash for it she gives it to me so that I can get something for myself. She lent me money so I could get the kids Christmas presents this year and just goes above and beyond to help us stay on our feet. It’s been very difficult to keep a family of 6 above water when the household income was cut by almost 60%. I don’t know where we would be without her.
I would like to thank my mom for always being there for me.
I would like to thank my daughter’s 1st Grade Teacher. My daughter is a special needs child, who needs a little “extra”: extra help with assignments, extra time to comprehend things, extra attention and focus to do well in the classroom, and lots of extra love. Mrs. Harper is a a wonderful teacher who is always looking out for my little pumpkin. She is truly making a difference in this little girls life. Thank you!
I would like to thank my Husband. 10-hour work days, starting a new business, and (this is HUGE) always making sure the cat box is cleaned and fresh. Now…THAT is something to be thankful for! He’s thoughtful, willing, capable and inspires many with his kind and thoughtful ways. He is patient and loving and does a mean impression of Brittany Spears when I need a good laugh.
Because things are financially tight right now…it would be delightful to surprise him with some treats of gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Patient and kind..full of love so sweet..
memories of eating Mrs. Fields cookies, her fave treat.
She raised me right..better than any other..
I will always cherish my dear Grandmother..
She taught me to be a strong woman to be nice to everyone I meet..
She helped me learn to ride a bike and bandaged my knee when I fell onto the street.
She held my hand when I had a heartbreak..
there is no problem she couldn’t make..
better, and for that I can never ever repay..
but it would be a wonderful way to say..
thanks! with a delicious treat from a special Missus..
something sure to make my Grandmother fill with joy..like a thousand kisses!! 🙂
I would like to thank my mom because she is the best friend, teacher, life counselor, and support system anybody could ever ask for. She has made a big impact in my life and words cannot express how grateful I am to have her as a mom. I see moms are quite popular in this discussion, and I believe it is with good reason. 🙂
I have a few people. My parents and my husband. Each in their own way helped me tremendously this summer. I had three surgeries and their love and support was and is invaluable .

I would like to thank my mother-in-law who is just like my mom. She is always there for me and anyone else. I lost both of my parents in 2001 11 days apart, and she was there every step of the way. There is no mother-in-law horror stories here. She is the best.
I would love to thank my mom Georgenia, because eventhough we don’t always get along, she is always there for me. I have had a rough year and she was always there for me to call to give me advice and steer me in the right direction. It is comforting to know that no matter what I do, she will always be there. She taught me to be strong and confident to overcome obstacles and to always help others and for that I want to thank her. She taught me to be kind and I would just love to do something for her to finally say thanks!
Age 11. Diabetic. Student Athlete. Responsible. This young man is an an inspiration. It’s tedious for a pre-teen to deal with a life long disease, but he pushes himself to stay focused on his dreams and goals more than his condition. He throws tantrums, on his bad days, but it’s his humanity. He is beyond his years and a complimented strength to our family. That’s my son. Kahlel Lundy.
I would like to thank my mom Rosetta. She has done everything for me from the day i was born till now and still goes above and beyond all of my 29yrs. I love u mom =)
Strangely enough I’d like to thank my boss. May sound wierd but he’s great. He has allowed me to grow professionally and personally. He has been 100% supportive of me through multiple personal crises. He’s allowed me to take ownership and given me the freedom to solve problems. Of course I am thanful for family and friends, alway have been. But it’s nice to g to work each day and know you’re makinga difference, and that someone genuinely has your back. So, I’m thankful for Rich.
I’d like to thank my sister Debbie who is helps take care of our Mom who has Alzheimers. I live 3 hours away from them and she lives near my Mom. Debbie takes my Mom to her appointments, runs her errands and handles her financial affairs.
I want to THANK my wife. She gives her all to our son, who has Autism, and to me. I am disabled and basically bedridden and she does EVERYTHING to care for me and our son…plus our home, 2 cats and dog.
I’d love to thank my friend, Heidi. She is a true blue pal – I can talk to her about anything. We see eye to eye on so many things and we have so much in common, so when we get together there is never a lull in the conversation.
I would like to thank my father-in-law. He is a general contractor, and he rebuilt a house from 1889 for me, my husband, and our daughter. He worked all day and then went to our house all night and on the weekends for almost a year so that we could have a place to live!
I went to a local church yesterday to get some of the food they give away each week to those who need it. As I waited for them to bag me some food, I started talking to an elderly gentleman who was a volunteer there. He told me he had been retired 25 years from the police dept and 10 years from a local college and liked to help people less fortunate than him. After I was handed my bag of food, he asked if there was anything I needed them to pray for me. I said yes, I needed prayer not to smoke as I had quit 6 days earlier and was about to break down and lose it all because I couldn’t handle the ceiling falling down in my house. I told him i could NOT ever pick up a cigarette again because I had cervical cancer and perhaps vocal cord as well. He took me into a corner and placed his hand on my shoulder and bowed his head. He prayed for the Lord to help me. I couldn’t see through the tears rolling down onto his shoes, but when he finished i thanked him through my tears and cried all the way home because a stranger cared enough to pray for me. I was so overcome I didn’t even get his name but next month when I go back to the food pantry, I will make sure to thank him for saving yesterday.

I would really like to thank my Dad. He has been a true inspiration to my kids and myself. Even at the roughest of times, with my mother being ill for a couple of years and recently passing away, my Dad took such loving care of her and still made it a point to make sure our kids spent as much time with him and her as possible. To him, family is everything and he has always put us, his family, first. He is always there when you need support, a friend or just a shoulder to lean on.
I’d really like to thank him for being such a wonderful, caring and loving person.

THERES DAYS WHEN SHE MIGHT ONLY GET 2 OR 3 HOURS SLEEP DUE TO HER JOB AND THEN LOOKING AFTER ME. I DON’T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT HER. SHE ALSO FINDS TIME IN BETWEEN TO VOLUNTEER FOR HOSPICE, SHE IS VERY GIVING AND NEVER ASKS FOR NOTHING IN RETURN. THANK YOU TRACIE, AND I LOVE YOU, MOM
I am 93 years of age and, I would to thank my precious daughter,Jane Paquin, for the tremendous amount of time she spends taking care of me AND all of my bills, financial affairs and grocery shopping plus personal shopping. She volunteers at a large ER room at a hospital. She ‘found’ a Mrs. Fields ice cream bar last week and it was to “die for”–it was truly out of this world!! Such a delightful treat. Mrs. Fields cookies would be a beautiful gift for her for all the time she spends on me, with so much LOVE. Thank you kindly. What a lovely way to say, THANKS

Would be to thank my family who deals with life and handles it well
I would like to thank my mother-in-law, Dixie Webster, for being kind to me from the first day that I met her, and for making me feel so welcome in her family. I am sure that there have been times that she has disagreed with either the way that I parent my kids, or the way that I keep my home, but she has never said a word that was critical or hurtful. This has given me the confidence to feel secure and comfortable around her, and for that I am truly grateful.

She provides more than an education, she provides a safe area and a haven for kids who have no where else to turn. I thank her for making the world a better place!

My wife has given me a beautiful daughter and son and for that I am forever grateful. I hope our children will always give thanks to our community and our neighbors for providing such a wonderful and nuturing place to live.
I would love to thank my husband’s cousins in Utah. It was hard sending our youngest daughter so far away for school. Being less than an hour from her school they opened their home and their hearts to my daughter. Feeding her, letting her come do laundry and sometime just letting her come for the weekend and soak up the warm family feelings of a home. Thanks to their additional love and support when her family was so far away she is now ready to go out into the world to do some good.
My daughter deserves my thabnks because she went back to school to earn her degree and support her family, she is a truly wonderful woman and I am so proud and thankful to have her in my life as my inspiration!
I’d like to thank my dad for giving me a role model of how a man should treat a woman and conduct himself in public, he was a terrific role model and I am thankful for the time I had with him.
I am thankful for my husband. It is just incredible what he has been through himself and with me. Being adopted and having cancer at a very young age as well as being raised well has made him an amazing person. We have been married since we got out of high school and he hasn’t missed a day of work. He has moved up and changed jobs for the better constantly throughout the last 15 years because everyone wants an excellent worker like him. He worked so I could raise our daughter who is now 15. I just can’t say enough about him. He has been with me through my financial misfortunes, a near death car wreck, the resulting pain medication addiction, and just my everyday baloney. This isn’t very eloquently written but I don’t know that I could do that if I tried. More and more things he has done for me and that I’m thankful for just keep coming to me. I am unbelievably thankful for my amazing husband and will be forever more.
my wonderful husband he has been here for me through all our trials and is a wonderful dad works 60 hours a week and still has time for the kids Thank you Adam

I would like to nominate my husband Matthew for being there for me through the difficult times in our lives. We suffered the loss of each of our parents and the loss of 6 pregnancies. I do not think I could have made it through all of the heartache we suffered without his strength. Thank you Matthew I love you dearly.

Every day I am thankful for my husband who supports me no matter what is going on. We uprooted our family over 6 years ago to come help take care of my parents. Their health continues to deteriorate and he cheerfully pitches in whatever we need – laundry, homework, parent pick up. He is a great husband, dad and overall great guy!
I am sooo thankful for my mother-in-law. She is a savior and always offers to babysit my 21-mth old whenever I need her. I’m having a 2nd baby in January, and she once again offered to help out as much as she can.
My husband. His line of work will require us to move to a new place (anywhere in the world) every few years. Last month, he was given his new assignment (in West Africa) while he was away on business, and we had less three weeks to prepare and execute a cross country move. Being someone who doesn’t tolerate change very well, I had a really difficult time. The stress was so much that I spent those three weeks having meltdown upon meltdown. My sweet husband was so understanding and supportive during this time, and did a great job picking up the slack without complaining.
I’d like to thank my mom – she’s always been my biggest cheerleader and the one who always told me the truth (even when it hurt).
I would like to thank my husband. He has provided a wonderful life for his young family and he works really really hard serving in the US Navy so I can stay home with our baby. He never ever complains about having to get up at 4am daily or when he has to work weekends or go on deployment. He’s a really great husband!

I’d like to send out my thanks to my mother-in-law. She is consistently patient, gentle, energetic, and fun. Our two little girls adore her because she gives selflessly and plays endlessly.
She is also the resident caregiver of the family. She spends almost all of every day loving people – tending to the needs of her parents (both of whom are 90), her elderly neighbors, children in the community, etc.

I would like to thank my daughter. She is a lovely young woman and constantly pays me back for all the misery I went through when she was younger and I did what was right even when she hated me for it. I love spending time with her and talking to her now – amazed that she has come this far. Want an example? We went to see Harry Potter today. I’m silently bawling my eyes out when Harry got to his parents’ graves. Without turning her head or saying a word, she simply handed me a tissue!!! LOL
I’d like to thank my two surrogate sons – T and N. Though I factored into helping give them life, they have taught ME so much. It’s amazing what my surrogacy journeys have taught me and my family, especially my kids. It’s been the most difficult, wonderful, rewarding thing I have done in my life, outside of having my own children.
So, thank you to those two beautiful little boys. <3
i would like to thank my husband–back in 2000, i became really sick and lost half my body weight–i looked like a skeleton with skin and it took having an operation for me to recover–my hubby was with me all through this and on top of everything else–i learned that i had MS but still he stayed with me.

I would like to thank my mom! She has always been there when I need her. Even though I am 20 years old now I can still talk to her about anything. She has held me through several hard events. She has supported me through all my decision whether they have been good or bad. Recently she has helped me through a Big event. I thought I was pregnant and she helped me through every little step from getting a pregnancy test, to going to the Dr, and the ER and she helped me stay busy when I thought I was having a miscarrage.
