I would love to repeat a day that I had with my husband. We just sat and talked and had a picnic and then before we knew it about 5 hours or so had passed.
Another day would probably be my wedding day. IT went by so quickly and it is such a special day it would be one to see it in slow motion and also know what is going to happen.

  5. CES-Wynn Girl

The day I would repeat is September 19, 2008. This was the day I found out I was expecting my first child. The time passed by so fast I couldn’t really take it all in due to the stresses of my mother and my father being sick w/ cancer (who knew?). I guess the theme of my story would be to go back in time to change the outcome(s). Like Pearl Jam’s song goes “if I had known then what I know now.”

It was a way for us to reconnect as a family and with three of them teenagers, I was thankful to have that day. We spent real quality time together without the TV or having a hectic schedule to keep. We spent the day playing board games, cards and just having great conversation.

September 18, 2008 would be the day that I would repeat over and over. It was the day that I married the love of my life. I met her 13 months prior to our wedding and the moment I saw her I knew I would end up marrying her. Unfortunately she didn’t know I existed and even after I introduced myself to her and asked her out she refused. She had just ended a terrible relationship and wasn’t ready for another one yet. I however being my peristant self would show up to her work place everyday right before she would get off work and just stand beside my car waiting for her to come out so I could see her. Some might call this stalking…lol…but I couldn’t stand not to. Everyday I would ask her out and everyday she would decline. But everyday she would stand and talk with me just a little longer before getting in her car and driving home. And NO I never did follow her home. But little by little, night by night she started coming around and then one night out of the blue like everynight before I asked her out and she said YES! After that date of course I wanted another and another. I started sending her little gifts to work…One a day…everyday for weeks on end. One day it would be a single flower, the next day a box of chocolates, then a stuffed teddy bear, then a sing a gram etc etc etc. We started dating steadily and 7 months later when I asked her to marry me she said YEs and then on September 18 she made my dream come true!!!! I love her with every fiber of my being and always will.

I remember the weather was beautiful, we had a huge dinner, and plenty of egg hunts and fun with the kids. It was just a great family day. I also remember taking many pics, and now I look back on those pictures, and see the joyful look on my parents face. They were so happy to have all the family around them. Now, being older, with my own children, son-in-laws, and grandkids, I know just how they must have felt-nothing makes my happier than having all my children and their families around me!

No true appreciation of one’s gifts is gained without some experience of pain.
I am thankful I was born and determined to use my remaining time to help others wherever I can. Happy Birthday to me!

She just turned 16 and has been such a joy since the moment she arrived at 9:32 a.m. and was the best Christmas present I have ever been blessed with. July 11, 2009. My 50th birthday, which I spent at a favorite Amusement Park in Virginia (we are from California) with my son, his wife, and 14 month old grand-daughter. While the kids rode the coasters, I hung out with baby Belen. She was fascinated by the fan I kept around my neck on that hot Virginia day. I’d click it off before handing it to her, but she couldn’t figure out how to click it back on. I’d do so, point it at myself and go, “Ahhhh.” Then I’d point it at her, and she’d go, “Ahhhhh.” Basically her first “words” with me, and a precious bonding moment. That’s my lasting memory of my 50th birthday. I could repeat it over and over again.

I would repeat the first night my boyfriend and I made love. I always considered him a close friend to me, but could never see him as more than that. I never even considered us being compatible or intimate in that way. Maybe it was fate or cruel irony that the one person I wouldn’t have considered being with, is the one person I’m about to have a one year anniversary with. I’ve never been with anyone for this long in my life and now it’s hard to imagine life without this this man.
That night after it happened I almost left him alone, but as I was getting up he held me and wouldn’t let go. I’ve never forgotten that feeling since, and relive it everytime we go to sleep together. He possesses all the qualities that I lack, and I compliment him in the same way. That day and night we spent together is one I would relive forever.

While I thought they were interesting, I wasn’t paying enough attention to remember them all. I would go back, record the stories, and take pictures of my grandparents with the reminiscent looks on their faces. They seemed so genuinely happy when I look back on that day!

The feeling of warmth, love and kindness that I felt emanating from his parents, siblings and their spouses was overwhelming beautiful. It has remained that way for over 24 years now, but we are missing his dad who has passed on. Would love to have everyone together again and experience the bliss!

When my daughter was born, they thought she had downs. They did a test, and the Dr told me that she did not have it. For some reason, I never “heard” that and was in a depressed state for 2-3 days after. I remember my husband saying….the Dr told you days ago she didn’t have it. I’d go back and actually listen and believe. A happy day to go back would be the day we brought her home. The happiest day of my life!
