Recipe: Egg Nog Pound Cake

Mrs. Fields Secrets Egg Nog Pound Cake
I’m a big fan of egg nog, so when I came across this recipe, I had to try it. The rich, sweet taste of egg nog comes alive in this pound cake, which is perfect to serve for breakfast with coffee or hot cocoa, or even as a dessert with a drizzle of vanilla sauce and fresh berries.

from Southern Living

1 package pound cake mix
1 1/4 cup egg nog (non-alchoholic)
2 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat all ingredients together at low speed with an electric mixer until blended. Increase speed to medium, and beat 2 minutes. Pour into a lightly greased 9- x 5-inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour or until a long wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan to wire rack, and cool completely (about 1 hour).
