4th Annual “Give Thanks with the Gift of Cookies” Giveaway

It’s time, once again, for my absolute favorite giveaway. I can hardly believe that it’s the fourth year of our “Give Thanks With the Gift of Cookies” giveaway! It has become one of the highlights of the holiday season for everybody here at Mrs. Fields Secrets Blog. We love reading the entries, and we especially appreciate the time you take to nominate special people in your life who are deserving of thanks. (If you need some inspirational reading, check out years onetwo, and three.)

This year at Mrs. Fields, we are celebrating our 35th anniversary, which is 35 wonderful years of being part of special moments in your lives. From casual moments of a shared cookie at the shopping mall, to helping you celebrate babies, birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays with your loved ones, we love to help make the moments sweeter. It’s an honor to be part of your lives, and we thank you for the opportunity.

With Thanksgiving approaching, we have much to be thankful for and we know that you do too. We also know that the perfect way to express your gratitude is with the gift of cookies. Once again, we are giving away three fabulous prizes to deserving people nominated by you! We’ll deliver them, along with your thanks, just in time for Thanksgiving! Why? Because the only thing better than winning a Mrs. Fields Secrets giveaway is winning one for somebody else!

How does it work?

Leave a comment answering this question: Who would you like to thank and why?

The contest will run from now until Sunday, November 18th, after which three winners will be selected to receive one of three incredible prizes.

First prize is our Classic Cookie and Brownie Bonus Tray with 48 cookies and 24 brownies. We like to refer to it as an instant party.

In the last year my parents have both had health issues. They and my husband have always been there for me when I have had health issues and have had my stays in the hospital. I would love to thank my parents for their help and just being there. I am trying to be there for them now as they need me.

  4. Melissa Marcum

My husband of 24 years Craig. He is the best husband and dad to our children in the world. He is so deserving of this, he never buys or asks of anything for himself. This holiday season is going to be especially difficult because he lost his grandmother, grandfather and uncle to cancer all in less than a year. He has handled it with a silent strength and grace but I can only began to imagine how difficult it’s been. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to tell you only a little about him, but this would be a small way of letting him know how much I appreciate him.

  5. Valerie

I’d like to thank my son, Michael. Our family has had a difficult year with my husband’s business closing and related losses. My son has been so strong and optimistic throughout this whole ordeal. We had to relocate and make changes. Michael has been so understanding and did not complain once. He’s such a blessing in my life!

I’d like to thank my sister because she came through when I was going into labor with my son. She was my labor coach keeping me laughing when all I wanted to do was focus on the pain. She coached me through it and what better way to say thank you than by sending her a basket of your delicious treats. Thanks Mrs.Fields, you’ve been the most coveted cookie in my family.

He always helps me in times of need even when it means helping me pay to fix my car for the hundredth time.

I would love to have the opportunity once more to thank my MOTHER. I lost my mother to a long battle with LUPUS this September, but if she was still here I would love to thank her for EVERYTHING. For choosing life when she found out she was pregnant with me and giving me the gift of LIFE. She was told never to have children because of her health issues and she flatlined on the birthing table with me not once but twice. The Dr had come out of the labor room and told my grandparents that he was certain I was already gone and that if they didn’t do a cesearn and fast they were going to lose my mother too because she kept flat lining. The did do the cesearan and much to their disbelief I was still alive…but barely. Mother however did wake up from the cesearean for over a week because she went into a comatose state. After we were released from the hospital we went to live with my grandparents because my biological father had left my mother during her pregnancy. But my mother was the absolute best mother anyone could ever of had. She was always there for me thru the years, we may not have had much money but we were blessed with the wealth of LOVE. She always did make sure that I had good clothes, a formal to prom, Christmas anything that would make my life more special. She was always there when I was sick, when I was heartbroken, she was there crying happy tears when I got married and she was the best GRANDMOTHER to my children. I love you mama and I want to THANK YOU for EVERYTHING!!!

  20. Natasha Crevier

I would like to thank my grandma for always being there for my family and I. She is not only my grandma but my closest friend as well. She is the sweetest, most loving woman you could ever meet and there is not a single person that could replace her!

  22. I would like to thank my husband of 16 years, Ross. He has been there for me, through the good and the bad. As parents of 4 children, ages 14 years to 20 months, we are extremely busy. He helps out with feeding, bathing, changing, and overall caring for all of our children. He also works very hard at his full-time job to support our family, so I can be home for our children. He has been a wonderful father and husband and I don’t tell him often enough how much I appreciate all he does for our family.

  31. I would like to thank my Mom. She is the best Mother I could ever ask for. She takes care of our home and cares for all 4 children, as well. She is our chef, launderer, house keeper, nurse, chauffer, and the financial advisor for our home and family. She really does it all and for that, I would like to say thank you, Mom!

  32. Tonya Mcglockling

I would like to thank my mother and my mother in law who has truly been a blessing to me and my husband. My mother is disabled and she is a stroke and heart attack survivor. Recently I got married this past August, and my mother who only receives one check a month wanted to do so much for us but couldnt. My mother in law found out the month of our wedding that she had cancer and had to have surgery a two weeks before our wedding. These two women are the strongest women that I know, although they both wanted to do something amazing for us, their presence enough was more than we could ever ask for. They are the backbones that keep our families together, I love them and I would like to do something special for them and winning a Mrs. Fields basket to give them would brighten their day. This Thanksgiving I’m most thankful for my mother Debra and my mother in law Pam.

  33. Andrea Hooks

My mom is the best mom in the world, my role model, & my best friend. I’m so thankful for her & I thank God every night that I have her. Love you mom!

  34. Ambrielle Bender

I would like to thank my husband. He works hard everyday in the Army, he comes home and still helps with the kids and chores. He has forgiven me for a very big mistake I made a few years ago, and loves me and shows it everyday. He protects me, comforts me, and helps when Im ill. He walks beside me and my children. He is and Amazing father to our children (and one that is not his) he refuses to give up in hard times and will bend over backwards to help anyone but himself. He always puts himself last and deserves so much more than I could ever give him!

  35. Nicole Scott

My Mom passed away a couple of years ago.She was the main source of civilization for my Grandmother.Since then family members have stepped up and are doing things to help out with her and I have been sending her samples and cards and things through the mail. She ask me if I think the mail lady gets as big of a smile as she does when she sees “grandma” printed on the mail rather than her name.My Grams is the biggest sweet heart and deserves something sweet in return :)

I’d like to thank my mother. Even though she’s not with me today, she’s the reason why I am the person I am today. She was hard working, dedicated to helping, and always had her chin up even in the roughest of times. If I didn’t have the opportunity to be with her, I would like she was! I am so thankful to have been able to be her daughter.

  40. Tanya Phelps

I would like to thank my husband, Shannon. He has a very stressful job working for the Department of Justice. I’d like to say THANK YOU! to my sister and her family. I’ve been ill, they have helped with chores, mowing the lawn, grocery shopping, getting me to doctor appointments and so much more. If it wasn’t for him giving me a place to live and helping me get on my feet again and feeling good about myself, I never would have met the love of my life in November that year. We have been together ever since and we married on August 1st, 2009. Thank you George for being there for me and my daughter!

My Dad for giving me life and always taking care of me. He is a disabled vet and has struggled with painful health issues just to stay alive and be a part of my life.

  56. christina brioso

If there were anyone in need of my thanks it would have to be my father. Not only has he suffered staying in an unhappy marriage with my mother in order to take care of and be there for me and my siblings for the past 20 years, he also stuck around me during a time in my life when I was beyond hope. Everyone and myself knew that I was on a path of self destruction and one that I had no plans on changing because of an eating disorder, but he stuck around and pushed me and helped me to change my ways, forcing me to get help and get better even though I was kicking and screaming the whole way. Without him I wouldn’t be alive and here today.

  57. Sy V

I would like to thank my wonderful husband of 6 years. The past 2 years have been very hard on us. I found out I was going to be laid off of my job of 8 years and wanted to start a new career. As a result I had to go to school part time, three days a week for 6 hours while still working full time on third shift. My husband has supported me in everything, taking care of our two small girls, going to work, making dinner, always making sure I was taken care of all the while working and dealing with my crazy family who always seem to need some sort of help.

After I was laid off last year, finding a job has been very tough in the competitive workforce and to add onto all that, I had been having seizures which were unknown to me. He made sure I never missed my doctor appointments, forcing me to see my doctors, talking to them all while I was at home, sick with our two girls. He is the hardest working man alive and would take the shirt off his back for anyone, even a stranger.

I have recently found myself a great job but in the past month he has gotten laid off his job of forever and to add, got into a motorcycle accident ending up with a broken arm so he can’t even go about finding a job. Its my turn to take care of the man I love who has the biggest heart in the world. <3

  58. Stefanie

If I could thank anyone, it would definitely be my mom. She has done so much for me throughout my life, and I just never had the right words to tell her thank you. Growing up we disagreed on just about everything, but she was always there when I needed help or advice, and could always make me smile. She helped me become independent and strong and now that I am an adult, I realize all she did. I would love to send her thanks this year just because I want her to know how much everything she has done has meant to me. We live in different states so I don’t get to see her a lot so I think this would be the perfect present for her during the holidays and I could finally show my thanks and appreciation.

  91. Tonya Donaldson Ragsdale

Special thanks to my husband Danny. It’s almost too much to list however, I have to thank him for just loving me and for taking such great care of me. I’ve had several hurdles to overcome in the past year and he has been by my side every step of the way. Last year I miscarried our first child and with faith, love, hope and many prayers, we are expecting our first child in April of 2013. He takes such great care of me. I can’t imagine life without him. He works from home and while I’m at work, he takes care of not only work but the laundry, grocery shopping, picking up medications and would you believe it he even returns my purchases to the stores that I order by mail. To say the least he’s just perfect in my eyes. He’s my rock and best friend. He’s such a great supporter of my elderly grandparents too. He takes care of all of their projects when we visit them to ensure they are well taken care of. He’s the best handyman ever and they love him. If anything, I just want my D to know just how much I love him.

  92. Julianne Coleman

I want to thank my mom for getting up with me everyday at 5:30am for school with a big smile on her face. She always has breakfast waiting on the table for me. Then she goes and visits with 2 of our elderly neighbors. Then she comes home and cleans up after her 5 children and then she goes to work. I have never seen anyone work so hard and not get appreciated the way she deserves. I know she does it because she loves too. She has been a great mom and I am so thankful for having her. I love her so very much and so does my sisters and brother!

I would like to thank Rabbi & Mrs Marazov of Montreal who drove 6 hours to Sandy Point, NY to bring generators to town 2 days after the hurricane hit. And their daughter Brochi who even though she just had a baby a week before starting cooking hot meals and paying for them with her own money (which she really doesn’t have) to provide meals to those who didn’t have electricity.

  94. My parents, they have supported me through the roughest time in my life. I went through a divorce and have 2 very young children. My parents have both had health problems and even with those were there for physical support with helping me adjust to single parenthood and financially when thing were rough, emotionally when I just needed someone to talk to. They are my friends and my confidants and I don’t think I could ever thank them enough for everything they have done for my children and I <3

there are so many people I would love to thank but I would say my husband. For giving me all the love and support. For giving me the best gift of all my kids. I was very blessed in meeting and falling head over heels for him. And he gave me the blessed gift of twins and a happy life together, Love them all with all my heart.
