Giveaway: Celebrate Small Business

At Mrs. FieldsĀ®, we are very proud of our heritage as a small business. (Did you know that in the beginning we were turned down by several banks who just couldn’t imagine people wanting to buy fresh chocolate chip cookies?) It takes a lot of courage, sacrifice, and hard work to make it in small business, and we’ve never forgotten our roots.

As part of our 35th Anniversary this month, we’d like to turn the spotlight outward and recognize some of the small business you know and love. We’d like to help you give them a well-deserved pat on the back and a delicious reason to smile.

You can win one of these three amazing prizes for your favorite small business:

120 Nibblers Basket

144 Nibblers & 72 Brownie Bites Basket

48 Original Cookies & 24 Brownies

Here’s how to participate: Leave a comment nominating the small business you’d like recognized and why. We’ll choose three winners and send their gift, along with your nomination.

Let the nominations begin!

One entry per person, please. Comments/entries will be accepted until midnight, Sunday, August 19th. Winning entries will be selected and nominators will be notified via email.

The place I would like to nominate is Three bags Full in Northbrook, Illinois. It is a yarn and knitting store.

I nominate Goldcoast Unlimited. It’s a family-owned small business that sells U.S. gold and silver certified coins. I love this company – not only do they have great, high quality coins at affordable prices, but the owners are fantastic, and their customer service is unbeatable. They really take an interest in their customers, beyond just selling coins. They are so warm, friendly, and knowledgeable, and always give top-notch advice and guidance in collecting coins. They’ve been struggling to keep their business going in this recession, and I think they deserve a delicious gift!

  4. I nominate Plush Pooch Kennels, a small family owned business that has been around for 30 plus years. The greatest place to board your four legged family member.

  5. Perry Internet Consulting (PIC) is a small business that helps other small businesses with websites. PIC helps make all of that insane technology not only understandable, but even manageable!

I would nominate Child’s Play Toy Store in Portland, Oregon. They are a small specialty toy store with the nicest staff ever. They go out of their way to help people choose exactly the right item suited to the child you are shopping for. The store itself has the atmosphere of a community hub rather than just a store.

  7. Janet G.

Thomas Gould Construction, Inc. This is a one man backhoe business where he creates magic with his machine.

  8. Marie L

I would nominate Leclerc Elec & Const in Penobscot ME
