3rd Annual "Give Thanks with the Gift of Cookies" Giveaway

I’m so excited to announce the third year of our “Give Thanks With the Gift of Cookies” giveaway! It’s by far my favorite giveaway of the year because of all the goodwill and joy it generates. It confirms my longtime suspicion that our readers and customers are the kind of people who enjoy giving even more than receiving.

The best part of our business at Mrs. Fields Gifts is being included in the special moments in your lives. Every day we have the opportunity to help people express care, joy, congratulations, concern, love, and gratitude. And believe me when I say, we consider it an absolute honor.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we have much to be thankful for and we know that you do too. We also know that the perfect way to express your gratitude is with the gift of cookies. We’re giving away three fabulous prizes to deserving people nominated by you! We’ll deliver them, along with your thanks, just in time for Thanksgiving! Why? Because the only thing better than winning a Mrs. Fields Secrets giveaway is winning one for somebody else!

How does it work?

Leave a comment answering this question: Who would you like to thank and why?

The contest will run from now until Sunday, November 20th, after which three winners will be selected to receive one of three incredible prizes.

First prize is our classic Bonus Tray with 48 cookies and 24 brownies. We like to refer to it as an instant party.

I would like to thank my dad. He worked hard to provide for us growing up. And now as a grandpa, he is showing a completely different side to himself. His grandkids are his life. I appreciate all that he has done for me and the love & support he shows with the next generation of our family.

  9. There are many who I would love to thank so publicly (though sort of anonymously). I could go traditional and say my parents. God knows, they have helped me so very much. They helped make me who I am today and I literally would not be here without them. I know they have sacrificed so much as well.
I could name relatives like my grandparents who have also helped me out. I could go religious and name pastors and mentors who shaped my faith in Jesus Christ. Or I could take the friend route and thank my wonderful friends who make me laugh and cry. They listen no matter what and are there to pick me up when I fall. I could even go sentimental and thank my lovely younger sister who’s always been there for me.
Looking back on what I’ve just written I don’t think I can “thank” just one person. So, I would like to thank everyone who has made an impact on my life. Whether I have known you since birth or we met a couple months ago. Everything happens for a reason and people are included with that. Everyone in my life has been put there for a reason. And for that I am incredibly thankful.

I would like to thank my family, because they are the best people to rely on in any given situation!

I would like to thank my 19 year old son for reminding me, showing me, that dreams do come true! That with hard work, dedication, overcoming whatever the obstacles may be… they ARE possible!! He didn’t just talk about it he made it happen, Win/Lose or draw he gave it his all! He has reminded my jaded heart to believe once again.

His dream you might wonder? Was to become a member of the United States Marine Corps. His dream became a reality this August 2011. It was, next to the birth of each of my children, one of the most remarkable moments of my life… my pride and my grateful heart are not because of what he decided to become, but because he did it at all – he tried – he simply gave his all to reach the goal.

How many of us can say the same – when we ask ourselves in quieter moments “have I done, dared, or tried to accomplish ________ (fill in the blank with your own dream) finding our answer to be too often No. He dared, he believed, and in that moment, as the Commander and Officers announcing to a grateful crowd of parents and families, that their sons/daughters were now US Marines – In that one singular moment I saw him stand taller, jaw squared and a look of accomplishment in his eyes like I’ve never seen before, it was in that exact moment my heart took flight and now dares to dream again….

He currently in Pensacola for classes and this will be our first Thanksgiving apart. Food, as you well know, cookies especially (Choc. Chip being his favorite of all) would be a pretty great way to say Thank You to he and his fellow Marines (as I’m sure he’d share)….

  12. Nancy

I would like to nominate my husband. He took me from being a shy timid girl, from a dysfunctional family, and gave me the love, encouragement and support to become the self confident and capable woman I am today. I don’t know where I would be without him!

  13. katelyn norton

I would like to thank my amazing husband Joshua. My husband is in the US Army and is currently deployed to Afghanistan. He works so hard and sacrifices so much everyday while we enjoy all the comforts of home. Despite being thousands of miles away he still manages to make me feel loved and appreciated. I admire him for his integrity and strength to do his job while being away from the ones he loves. Thank you for being my soul mate, best friend, and other half. I love you and miss you with every breath I take. I’m proud of you.

  14. Lee

I would like to nominate a woman we know from our Grief Support group. Tara has been actively involved in her community raising awareness and education on Traumatic Brain Injury, having the Mayor proclaim her fathers birthday as traumatic brain injury awareness day, starting an online forum for brain injuries. Her father just passed away in April from Leukemia, since then she has truly been having the hardest time dealing with his death. She has collected over 300 stuffed animals to be donated to children in her area’s hospitals with leukemia. I’m sure her father was and still is so proud of all she has done for him, I think it would be special to thank he for all she has done.

  15. Troy

I would like to thank my wife. She has gone through a lot this past year but has done it with grace. I think she has even surprised herself!

  16. Maureen

I would love to thank my husband. He has been there for me through the rough times (of which there have been some) and the not so rough so these would be a pleasing treat for him.

  17. Carol

I would like to thank my son who is going through Navy pilot training. He has been in training for over 2 years now, and still has 6 months to go until he earns his wings. We have not seen him since he was home for just a few days last Christmas. Through all this time he has had very little time off. He has had to study and work very hard and many of the people who began training with him have left the program. My son just found out that all his hard work and sacrifice has allowed him to be one of the few chosen to fly fighter jets. My son has shown me that when you have a dream you need to have the courage to work hard for that dream, despite the sacrifices. I am very proud of him.

  18. Meryl

I’d like to thank my husband for always being there for me, and giving me his unconditional love. He’s the best friend I could ever hope for.

  19. Louis

A giant thank you to my wife for all her love and support, and especially helping me through some very rough times.

  20. Stefanie

I would like to thank my mom because eventhough we don’t see eye to eye on practically everything, she has always been there for me and I know if I ever need someone she will be there. We live in different states so don’t see each other much, but we both love Mrs. Fields cookies. I would love for her to have this gift just to show her how truly thankful I am for all that she does and how proud I am to be her daughter eventhough I never say it.

  21. Someone who attends the same church that I attend. When I was younger, I used to direct the children’s choir. This lady was faithful at showing up at the rehearsals and helping me keep those children in line. One day when I got up and made acknowledgments, I forgot to mention her, my most faithful help. I’d been warned before in my life not to call names, because you’ll forget someone. I didn’t heed that warning and learned the hard way. I never quite knew how to say i’m sorry and still feel a little clutzy when I talk to her. I’ve never made it up to her. Her 80th birthday is coming up and i’d love to be able to do something nice for her.

  22. karen

My daughter Rebecca. She served 4 years in the Air Force and now is home getting ready to go to school full time. It was so hard while she was gone, and even through the difficult times she had, she always kept in close contact with me. I still remember that she was always calling me and I finally asked her why doesn’t she call her other friends. She said “mom, you are my best friend, you are the first person I think of when I need to talk.” What a blessing she has been to me. It is more than a mother can ask for.

  23. Briana

I would like to thank both of my parents. I’d just like to choose them for simply choosing life for me. Also most importantly they brought me up in church as young girl, therefore I’m thankful that they have guided me in the right direction of life.

  24. NiCole

I give thanks to my family and my friends. They fill my life with joy and they are all nice caring people.

  25. Annel

I would like to thank God for giving me such a wonderful husband and great mother in law, I would be lost without them. I has 2 miscarriages this year and my husband has been my rock, and my mother in law has helped out so much watching our son. so im so thankful for them.

  26. Nadine

I would like to thank my grandmother. Growing up, she more like a mother to me than anything else. I am 36 years old now and when “I grow up” I want to be just like Mum. Mum was my rock and I knew I could always count on her for advise and guidance. She is getting on in age now and her memory is failing, but I have those memories and will cherish them always. I can only hope to be half the mother/grandmother to my grandchildren that Mum was to me.

  27. Sandy Muraoka

I am thankful for all the people that love me in my life.

  28. eileen

Would like to thank my children for giving me 4 great joys in my life – my grandchildren.

  29. Melissa McIntyre

I would like to thank my favorite author, Kurt Vonnegut for providing me with years of laughter and self reflection for his beautiful writing style.
Mr. Vonnegut provided me with my favorite quote ever, which has inspired me to continue my education through the years.

“New knowledge is the most valuable commodity on earth. The more truth we have to work with, the richer we become.”
    Kurt Vonnegut, Breakfast of Champions

All of us have dreams, goals, and aspirations. It is because of the books that Mr. Vonnegut wrote in his lifetime that encouraged my love of learning that made me who I am today.

  30. I would love to send this to my Mom and Dad. Couldn’t ask for more love and support, or for better role models.

  31. Betty

While I could thank so many in my life: my pastor, my husband, my children,or a special friend I would like to thank the staff in the Hematology/Oncology clinic. They have such a stressful job in treating so many of us on a daily basis; yet continue to be some of the most caring and compassionate people I have ever met. Thank you for the loving care and guidance through this difficult diagnosis.

  32. Carol W

I would like to thank my husband without him my life would be meaningless he shows me everyday how special I am he means slot to me.

  33. Nicky Chen

I would like to thank my sister for being such a beautiful and wonderful person. She always has comforting words for me and is such a joy to be around.

  34. Bonnie Pietro

I would like to thank my mother for the incredible strength she has shown as she continues to battle her cancer. Her spirit and strength are an inspiration to all who know her. Thank you, to her, for showing me how to be grateful in times of trial, as well as times of joy.

  35. Yvette B.

I want to thank God for blessing me with such a wonderful family. This has been a very trying 5 years in my life and they have been my support through it all. Thank you God for keeping me strong .

  36. Leigh Reynolds

I want to thank my husband. He is so supportive that he convinced me to go back to school for my graduate degree (he knows that I have wanted to do this for many years). Working full time and traveling for work while having a family…how was i suppose to add school to my schedule. By him taking over the laundry, house cleaning, grocery shopping, taking the kids everywhere, etc., etc. etc…all so I can study and go to school. He is so selfless and I am so thankful for him…for so very many reasons.

  37. Shari Wright

I’d love to thank my parents for adopting my sister & myself when we were but small children. There is no amount of money or material things in this world to express the gratitude or love we fell for them & the decision they made to take on two small children who were not theirs. I thank them everytime I see them & try to shout it from the rooftops that they made a huge difference. If it wasn’t for them there’s no telling where my sister or I would be or what kind of people we would have become!
